YORK Wednesday morning news communications chip company Broadcom Corp. Tuesday reported second-quarter profit of 278.3 million U.S. dollars, 52 cents a share. The company's 13.4 million U.S. dollars profit a year earlier, 3 cents a share. Revenue from the 1.04 billion U.S. dollars last year rose to 1.6 billion.
the company spokesman, said second-quarter adjusted earnings of 66 cents per share.
FactSet Research survey of analysts on average had expected it to earn 63 cents per share on revenue of 1.59 billion U.S. dollars.
