Novellus second-quarter profit

YORK Tuesday morning news Novellus Systems Inc. Tuesday reported second-quarter earnings after the close of 63.3 million U.S. dollars, 66 cents a share. The company's loss of 50 million U.S. dollars last year, a loss of 52 cents a share.
The company said revenue from the 119.2 million U.S. dollars last year increased to 321.4 million U.S. dollars. Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters had on average expected it to earn 60 cents per share on revenue of 312 million U.S. dollars.
