Jordan and Norway's Foreign Minister to discuss Middle East peace
AMMAN, Jan. 11 (Xinhua Wang Dongdong Su Xiao-Po) Jordanian Foreign Minister Zhu reached 11 in the Jordanian capital Amman meeting with visiting Norwegian Foreign Minister Støre said that if a permanent Israeli-Palestinian problem is not resolved Middle East violence and instability will be further intensified. P>
Zhuda Jiang stressed that at present all efforts should be made for the resumption of direct negotiations between Palestine and Israel to create the right environment. He believes that future negotiations should be to achieve the "two-state solution," the Arab peace initiative of 2002 and the relevant United Nations resolutions as the ultimate goal. P>
Judah also stressed that all parties should strive to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East to remove all obstacles to the eventual establishment of an independent East Jerusalem as its capital, and enjoy full sovereign Palestinian state. P>
Støre said that Norway is willing to work together with Jordan to do more to achieve Middle East peace efforts and called on Israel to stop all unilateral actions, especially settlement construction activity. P>
Støre also said that Norway will continue to increase the work of the United Nations Relief for Palestine Refugees in the assistance, and Jordan, the Palestinian refugees has long been highly appreciate the help. P>
